What would be better than enjoying good food together with art lovers, listening to inspiring speakers and a tour through the exhibition by the curator and artist? During TAFERELEN, FOTODOK is open for visitors who enjoy good food and good company. Sit down, take a plate, get a drink at the Do-It-Yourself bar and be surprised by acquaintances and strangers at the table.
The food is made by SYR, a Syrian restaurant down the street that is run by Syrian refugees. For TAFERELEN, a maximum of 25 seats are available. During dinner two guest speakers present their work linked to FOTODOK’s exhibition at that moment. This can be imagemakers, scientists or other experts.
This evening is all about the presentation of the work of Marica Kolcheva. Her project Meteorologica: Observations is about the human relationship with observing and controlling the weather. An evening in which we will talk about clouds, entering the topic from different perspectives: The role of clouds in the atmosphere and their response to climate change process. But also clouds as a scientific challenge and as a matter which have always implied emotional and artistic connotations, fascinating for scientist, artists, poets, philosophers.

There is a limited amount of 25 seats available. The evening costs €17,50 including dinner, coffee, tea & water, a tour through the exhibition and two enthusiastic speakers. We have soft drinks, wine and beer at the ‘Do-It-Yourself’ bar. You keep track of what you drink and pay at the end of the evening at the bar. The walk-in is from 17:30, the program starts at 18:00 and ends at 20:30.
