FOTODOK is happy to announce that we are a new member of Futures!
Futures is a “photography platform that pools the resources and talent programmes of cultural institutions across Europe in order to support new talents.” It is co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
The project has been operating since 2017. Today, it brings together 18 Futures members. Starting from 2022, FOTODOK is delighted to join a wonderful company of Bienal Fotografia do Porto (Portugal), CAMERA – Centro Italiano per la Fotografia (Italy), The Centre photographique Rouen Normandie (France), Copenhagen Photo Festival (Denmark), Der Greif (Germany), FOMU Fotomuseum (Belgium), Fotofestiwal Łódź (Poland), Fotogalleriet (Norway), Fotograf Magazine (The Czech Republic), ISSP (Latvia), Organ Vida (Croatia), PHotoESPAÑA (Spain), Photo Romania Festival (Romania), PhotoIreland (Ireland), Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center (Hungary), The Triennial of Photography (Germany), and Void (Greece).
In 2022-2024, as a Futures’ member, FOTODOK will nominate five photographers working in the Netherlands every year. The artists will receive support in terms of digital network events, a large-scale gathering once a year with the full Futures’ family present, and an artist fee.
The first five artists FOTODOK has an honour to represent at Futures are: Giya Makondo-Wills, Pablo Lerma, Peggy van Mosselaar, Thana Faroq, and Walter Costa.
You can find artists’ bios and representation of their works here.
