During the exhibition There is Something about My Family, which runs until 5 June, FOTODOK will use Instagram to profile the photos of international photography students, who present their own take on the family theme. In doing so, FOTODOK aims to create an extra platform for young artists and to give the exhibition an online dimension.
On Mondays and Tuesdays, when the exhibition is closed, FOTODOK’s Instagram account will be taken over by young European photography students who are working on projects related to the family theme. A selection of their images will be shown on these days until 5 June.
In the framework of the Dutch EU presidency this year, FOTODOK put out a call to various European art schools. The call yielded numerous interesting submissions. The Instagram take-over provides a showcase for these family stories.
