Het UITfeest komt er weer aan! Dit is dé plek waar je moet zijn om jezelf onder te dompelen in een dag vol plezier, cultuur en ontdekkingen. Dus zet 9 en 10 september met dikke letters in je agenda en neem iedereen mee. Laat je inspireren en geniet van het rijke culturele aanbod van Utrecht tijdens de opening van het culturele seizoen! Op verschillende centrale locaties in Utrecht vind je culturele activiteiten. Uiteraard is het UITfeest helemaal gratis! Iedereen van jong tot oud, is welkom om samen met ons te genieten van de opening van het culturele seizoen.
FOTODOK presenteert tijdens het UITfeest het werk van 10 gedreven fotografen samengebracht door het Lighthouse talentprogramma van FOTODOK. Ze zijn een internationale groep beeldmakers die de liefde voor fotografie delen en het aankaarten van maatschappelijk urgente thema’s door middel van visuele verhalen vertellen. Deze groep makers vertegenwoordigd een breed scala aan verhalen en thema’s; variërend van identiteitsontwikkeling en representatie tot machtsstructuren en klimaatverandering. Ze presenteren hun werk dit weekend in de vorm van een rondreizende tentoonstelling.
Op zaterdag 9 september zijn ze te zien tussen 15.00 en 21.00 in het centrum van Utrecht, meer informatie is op de dag zelf te vinden bij FOTODOK’s kantoor aan de Lange Nieuwstraat 7.
Op zondag 10 september zijn ze te zien tussen 12.00 en 17.00 in Overvecht op de parkeerplaats van het winkelcentrum waar een grote cultuurhub zal zijn met theater, dans, perfomance en muziek!

The Utrecht UITfeest is coming up! This is the place to be, to immerse yourself in a day full of fun, culture and discovery. So put September 9 and 10 in your calendar and bring everyone along with you. Be inspired and benefit from all the rich culture Utrecht has to offer during the opening of the cultural season! You will find cultural activities at various locations in Utrecht. Of course the UITfeest is completely free! Everyone from young to old is welcome to enjoy the opening op the cultural season together.
During the UITfeest, FOTODOK presents the work of 10 passionate photographers brought together by the Lighthouse talent program of FOTODOK. They are an international group of image makers who share a love of photography and address socially urgent themes through visual storytelling. This group of creators represents a wide range of stories and themes; ranging from identity development and representation to power structures and climate change. They will present their work this weekend in the form of a traveling exhibition.
Saturday September 9 you can find them in the city centre of Utrecht between 15.00 en 21.00. More information about the exact location you can find on the day itself at FOTODOK’s office at Lange Nieuwstraat 7.
Sunday September 10 you can find them between 12.00 en 17.00 in Overvecht at the parkingspot of the shoppingmall where there will be big cultural hub with theater, dance, performance and music!
